Mursley United Football Club held a successful “Open Day” on Saturday.
The purpose of the event was to work towards creating one integrated team.
Chairman Bob Dixon said “ We have excellent facilities (for miles around) including a “F” grade pavilion and if all five teams integrate the club becomes stronger and better resourced in terms of personnel and finances.
This team strength will help to achieve the club’s progressive objectives in our five year plan and also sustain the club’s future”
Despite the weather, the senior players completed a full training session and sixteen junior players were involved in two coaching sessions run by former Winslow United player, Jakub Kaspprzyk, culminating in a penalty shoot-out against the senior goalkeepers.
Parents and club supporters were also present to watch the activities and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
